Overview:
• Demonstrates proficiency in accurately and efficiently diagnosing and repairing mechanical problems on Caterpillar 3500 and 3600 engines.
• Possesses a strong knowledge of Tier 4 and various new technologies and comprehensive mechanical, diagnostic, and analytical skills.
• Will have call-out for emergency service calls.
• Responsible for submitting accurate maintenance reports and other necessary paperwork.
• Dedicated to customer service, and maintains professional working relationships with customers and co-workers. Team Player attitude.
Education and Certifications Required:
• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• Formal or Factory training on Caterpillar 3500 and or 3600 Engines
Specific Work Background/Experience Required:
• 3-5 years of experience working on Caterpillar 3500, 3600, Marine applications, epg applications, natural gas compression, plc controls etc.
• Top and Bottom End engine exp
• Diagnostic software and specialty tool experience
Desired:
• Knowledge and experience on compression, process and power equipment, as well as electrical systems, including panel boards, skid wiring, schematics, wiring diagrams, etc.
• Knowledge and experience of high speed and low speed equipment.
• 5+ years’ experience in engine, generator and gas compression mechanics.
Special Requirements/Additional Comments
• Must be able to read, write, and speak English.
• Must have valid Driver’s License and a good driving record – NO Owi or suspension past 7 years
• Must be able to provide own hand tools up to 1 1/4″.
• Must be able to work independently.
• Must be able to work in a fast-paced, high pressure environment.
