Our client is looking to hire a Business Development Associate to help fuel its continued growth.
The Company: A premier manufacturer and market leader of performance parts for the industry’s top truckers. They manufacture, distribute and sell high quality aftermarket American-made exhaust manifolds, turbo-chargers, intake manifolds and other hardware for trucks.
The Details:
Base Compensation: $30,000-50,000 per year, paid monthly, with an annual salary review.
Bonus Opportunity: Commission based on sales of existing and new sales plus individual performance
Benefits: No benefits, but an additional stipend will be paid monthly to cover health and dental insurance. 3 weeks paid vacation.
Reporting structure: The Associate will report to Sales Manager
Anticipated Start Date: February-March 2016.
Driving sales in the Great Lakes Region of the US (IN, IL, OH, and MI), working directly with dealers in person and by telephone to stock, sell, and install parts;
Taking inbound telephone inquiries from new and existing customers.
– Interpersonal skills: The Associate will interact with new and existing FTP customers both in person and by phone, and will require poise, maturity and strong communication skills.
– Relevant sales experience: The Associate will have ideally have 2-5 years sales experience in the trucking industry and/or diesel performance engines (e.g. with pick-up trucks). Experience selling in related industries such as industrial equipment or heavy duty fleet and/or equipment is helpful but the ideal candidate will have direct experience with long-haul trucking.
– Desire to work in a fast-paced, high-growth, entrepreneurial company. The environment is dynamic and there is an expectation that all team members will pitch in to drive the business as required.
– Flexibility and willingness to travel: Significant travel will be required. The ideal candidate will be based in one of the four following states: Indiana, Illinois, Michigan, or Ohio.
